I would seriously love to go as we had a nice time at CCR 2007 and all the others. My dilemma is time, as we have planned a trip to Hawaii, Japan and Thailand next year. For me to ride from the New York, I would need 8 riding days total plus the the week at the event. I don't know if I can swing that. My options are:

1. Riding out one way and shipping/flying back one way.

2. Shipping my bike both ways (BMW of Salt Lake...I guess).

3. Flying out and renting a bike (Any info on this...rate...who's providing this service)

4. Skip CCR 2008

Decisions...Decisions.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Hector

The third option might be the way to go. There are bikes available to rent in the area. If you are interested I will find out more information.

Thanks! I really don't want to exercise option #4. I will research the rental option also. Hopefully CCR can get attendees some good deals (discounts) on this option. (MOA/AMA/Military and any other affiliation discount.)

Will BMW of Salt Lake be the CCR Rep. Dealership?

Option 5: FLY to Utah, buy a new LT, ride her home! You can get the 600 mile service done before you leave CCR, because of all the awesome day rides in that area. I for one can't wait.

I'm with Nathan, Option #3 would be best. I am looking into some rentals, so between Nathan and I we should be able to find something. We should find out how many would be interested in possibly flying out and renting so we (here in Utah) know how many bikes we need to deal with.

I would entertain the thought of flying out and renting an LT.

Jamie,

Please keep me posted on what you and Nathan come up with. The more I think about it the more it looks like that will be my decision.

Thanks for your help.

For those going to BMWMOA, ride out to the MOA in Gillette, WY and play for a week; then go to the Top of the Rockies rally. Store bike somewhere, fly home. 4 weeks later, fly out and ride to CCR 2008 and play. Ride home!!!!!!

Dave, You really need to change your signature line. I don't believe this is a 2000 Canyon Red LT!!!

OH man, that is so beauty. Someone posted a pic of it on K-bikes and I've been salivating over it since.

What about a bike train? You know the ones where you ride to the train, load the bike onto the train, load yourself onto the train, enjoy a scenic train ride, arrive at the destination fresh and ready to ride - perhaps all the way back home. I'd love to do it for the Gillette MOA rally because riding both ways (from Toronto) would require too much time.
