Sorry this post is long folks but....
Ouchie...34 years of ridin' and finally got nailed on the north side of Amarillo by an elderly gent. Shoulda' but couldn't avoid his intrusion into my lane from a side road but he did get the citation for an illegal/unsafe turn.....and I got the totalled LT. Plus a few bruises (left cheek) and each ankle fractured...yikes.
Thank God for gear...i'm a non-walkin' case study for ATGATT (though i've certainly cheated at times).
But I digress....I'm alive and happy to be so and wanted to toss out my sincerest appreciation to one of this forum's most congenial and friendly Masters of Assistance.
This guy activated the "deputy5211 LUXURY Medical Transport Service" in less than a day. And get this...he drove 300 miles to pick me up in the hospital, with a bedpad, pillows and sheets/blanket in back so I could ride laying down (remember I cain't walk). But wait, that's not all. He also brung his trailer so I could pick up the trashed LT and bring it on back too. But wait, there's more....then he drove another 300 miles while providing consoling talk from his experience at being dinged by a cager. Don't that beat help and support with a STEEK! Yeah, yeah, no TV in back but came with laptop & Ipod...heh, heh!
It all led up to the safe delivery of Moi' and the ex-Black Beauty back home where anxiety levels finally returned to normal.
Yep, coulda' been worse....but wasn't. Instead I give thanks to God for the miracle it was. And in the confused aftermath of an ambulance and 2 day hospital stay, the best part was knowing there are guys like Tony out there who, without any hesitation, will put that assistance on a STEEK and offer it up fast and true!
I've seen plenty of posts of heroic Masters of Assistance and Humanitarians who go the extra mile, nay hundreds of miles and they each deserve the many kudos they get.
So here's my Kudo to you Tony...straight from the heart brother!!!
Thank you!
PS....my vote for next years MASTER OF ASSISTANCE or Humanitarian or whatever category it oughta be called goes to....tada, Tony.
