Places to keep small stuff on the GT

Where are the best places on the bike (not bags) to keep small stuff?

I'm looking to tuck away a few things so I'll always have them, and there just isn't a lot of room under the seat. They don't have to be super-easy to get at, but ideally no tools would be required. I mean things like:
additional tools (any suggestions on tool kits for the GT?)
tire repair/inflation kit
first aid stuff
duct tape

You're still just a bit ahead of the game on this relatively new bike. I've got a couple of ideas, but I'm still on the road back from CCR. When I get home I'll be able to upload and post some pics of what I've done so far and what I'm planning.
