Arrived home Sat night, after 12 hrs of riding, I could not believe what I was in for! We went out to diner and I was looking for the "Booze Brothers", they were nowhere to be found, it was boring, no laughing, no antics, no ransoms!

Then it got worse, if that could be possible, my wife wanted to know when the yard work would be done? I told her the maintenance crew would take care of it! I was going riding! I looked all over and couldn't find my keys, then I noticed they were dangling from the wife's beltloop. I received the lawnmower keys instead.

I finished the lawn and then I had to do laundry, from the trip. What a bummer! Then she unfolded a list of "Honey do's", oh the price you have to pay, for a little fun. Is it time for CCR again?

1. wash her car
2. clean the fridge
3. vacuum the carpet.........
OH MAN I GOT THE BLUES!!!!!!!

Floyd,

It is an insidious condition known as PCCRD. Post CCR Depression. It doesn't start to go away until the following May/June when PCCRA sets in. Pre-CCR Anxiety.

The only thing that I know that helps soothe the symptoms is building routes to/from the next CCR in your GPS or PC mapping software. Also, sharing your memories/photos from CCR in the discussion forum seems to help as well.

Here's one idea for a route...

Or checking out all the cool riding in Utah...

Mirror Lake Scenic Byway - only 15 minutes from the Zermatt Resort and begins in the small town of Kamas near the Gateway Grill, which is a great place to get breakfast before the ride (Utah Byways (http://www.utah.com/byways/mirror_lake.htm), National Scenic Byways (http://www.byways.org/explore/byways/2007/)).

Alpine Loop - Only 15 minutes from the Zermatt Resort halfway between the Heber Valley and Orem/Provo off US 189 and runs right through the famous Sundance Resort (Utah Byways (http://www.utah.com/byways/alpine_loop.htm)).

Nebo Loop - Only 45 minutes from the Zermatt Resort in Payson. This byway provides a beautiful ride over Mount Nebo, the tallest mountain in the Wasatch range (Utah Byways (http://www.utah.com/byways/nebo_loop.htm), National Scenic Byways (http://www.byways.org/explore/byways/2012/)).

Francis to Duchesne Ride - Only 10 minutes from the Zermatt Resort. While not recognized as a scenic byway, and listed on many mapping software and gps maps as an unpaved road, this ride along UT 35 provides a scenic back route to Duchesne with little or no traffic. Don't miss the Hanna Cafe between Hanna and Tabiona on UT Hwy 35 (and get your "Where the Hell is Hanna" t-shirt).

Ogden River Scenic Byway - Only 30 minutes from the Zermatt Resort with entry points at either Mountain Green or in Ogden. The routes ends in Woodruff, Wyoming, which is rumored to have the coldest winter temperatures in the continental United States (Utah Byways (http://www.utah.com/byways/ogden_river.htm), National Scenic Byways (http://www.byways.org/explore/byways/2003/)).

Energy Loop/Eccles Canyon - Just over an hour away from the Zermatt Resort, this ride provides both the fun of a rollercoaster and the scenery one expects on a nationally recognized scenic byway. Be sure to make a run up the road from Huntington to Electric Lake (Utah Byways (http://www.utah.com/byways/huntington_canyon.htm), National Scenic Byways (http://www.byways.org/explore/byways/13831/)).

Logan Canyon/Bear Lake - About 90 minutes away from the Zermatt Resort, this ride runs up from Logan to Bear Lake, where you can get a world famous, hand dipped raspberry shake (Utah Byways (http://www.utah.com/byways/logan_canyon.htm), National Scenic Byways (http://www.byways.org/explore/byways/2001/)).

Combine a few of these routes to make for a wonderful all-day adventure. Examples include Ogden River/Mirror Lake, Alpine Loop/Nebo Loop, Francis-Duchesne/Energy Loop.

Man, I hear y'all about the post CCR blues. It's just amazing how fast the time flies while there. I end up a sleep deprived (or is that depraved?) wreck by the end of the week as I don't want to miss one second.

All the laughter and insanity, even while putting out fires and dealing with problems, is just too kewl. Then you add all the awesome, like thinking folks and it be pure magic.

El Jeffe called last night and you know what I was doing? Routing to Zermatt.

For the love of goats, are we there yet?

You really want to know what the real CCR Blues is?
I really don't think I'll be able to attend anymore CCR's from now on. Last year was probably "it" for me. While my new job is very flexible, August is not. :( I do't think I'll be able to get to CCR for the next few years. Time will tell.
