If you are spending the holiday with loved ones, let them know how you feel and give them a hug. If you are not able to be with them, call them.

I'm not intending to put any damper on anyone's holiday; however, I feel I must send everyone a message.

Life is short.....LIVE IT !!!!

Do not procrastinate....if you feel like talkng to someone...do it. You may not get another chance.
If you feel like giving someone a hug...do it. You may not get another chance.
If you have something you have been wanting to do....Just do it!! You may not get another chance.

I have 4 brothers and 2 sisters. One, the next to the youngest, has for some reason gone his own way for years and not communicated with any family members. I haven't seen him or talked to him in over 6 years.
On Wednesday of last week two of my brothers and our wives met for dinner as is our customary monthly ritual. David came up in the conversation and we decided we would make an effort to contact him. We knew he lived in Oklahoma City but traveled a lot in his work. We knew what type of work he did but not what company he worked for. Tracking him down would not be a simple task but we were determined.
The very next afternoon we received a call from his wife....David had had a heart attack the night before and passed away. He was 46 and in reasonably good health.
Our family has been given a wake up call.......we are not really close. One of my sisters lives in South Florida and I haven't seen her in over 3 years. We have all been talking about a family reunion for some time. Now we will have it....the day after Thanksgiving. But it will not be the type we were hoping to have.

Sorry for your loss. I live 3000 miles from my relatives, but we email, phone and I go back east to see them about every other year. My Bro is 70. It will be a bad day when he's gone. Prayers and best wishes.

Bob I am so sorry for your loss.Even though you were not close later in life losing a sibling is not an easy thing. I totally agree with your thoughts on not procratinating. Before you know it it's too late. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

My condolences, Bob. For months, Dayle has been wanting to go back to NY and spend time with her ailing aunt, just to talk and spend time together. Several attempts to get her sisters together at her parent's house for Thanksgiving and/or Christmas have all failed. We ended up flying back a couple of weeks ago for her aunt's funeral. At least her sisters made it, but it wasn't the circumstances any of us had hoped for.

Bob - thoughts are with you and yours, not an easy time.
