Returned last week from a 6500 mile trip out west from plymouth Mass. This was my fifth trip out West since 2,000, first time on a BMW all the other trips were on Harley's.
I couldn't get home soon enough to trade the LT for an RT, the LT is a great Bike! performance was flawless, but I was never more uncomfortable on a motorcycle, pure agony.
Rode through heavy rain in the midwest for four days on the way home. Weather protection on the LT has got to be the best, But It sure feels great loosing a couple hundred pounds and no front end wobble!
Only had the RT for three days, so far life is good but I think I'll have to change out the seat, everything else seams to fit me ok.
Some feed back for you LT Riders, I put a new set of Avon storms before the trip and they handled the twisty's and highways in the rain perfectly however the front tire was totaly shot, rear tire probably has another 3,000 miles to go. Tire pressure 42/46 single rider. Thanks for listening, ride safe!

Was it you I met at the top of Beartooth Pass? You should have tried those MOPs. They made the difference for me. Congrats on the new ride, I hope it works out better for you.

Smity ...Congradulations on your new Ride..! I met you and Rick at Moto-Mart awhile back we both had new LT's. I was so impressed with Ricks Triumph Rocket III power house that I took one out for a test ride what a torque monster. I'm sure when you two ride together it must be hard to keep up with him.. :stir: .Ride Safe

Hey Ridgid how are you doing? Hope you had a safe riding season, the RT. is a fun bike but it's not a LT. Rick couldn't keep up with me when a had the LT.
That torque Monster is fast but but it can't handle the twisty's, I have to look in my mirrors to see if he is still there if not I pull over and wait.
Give me a call so we can do a week-end ride to Vermont thay have good roads up there with some spectacular scenery. Ride Safe!

Hi John glad to see you made it home safely. The mop's looked good but by that time I had enough of the LT. had to try something different However I don't think the RT is the answer, I'll try it for awhile I really like th Boxer engine and everything else, but the seat has to go. I'll probably end up back on a harley they seem to fit me better, and now that they have finally entered the 21st century and added ABS one may have a chance at survival.
Ride safe
