Final Drive Failures

Does anyone know why there are so many final Drive failures in this year's Iron butt Rally?

Its getting scary for us R12RT people... :eek:

Yes, over 40% of the riders are on BMWs.:( High percentage of final drive failures guaranteed by that fact.

Every IBR in the past few years has had a few failures, but still BMW always has the largest percentage of bikes in it. Go figure.

I did notice that FJRs did not come out all that well either!

4 out of 39 bikes is not very promising.
