Hi
I just exchanged my 2 year old 1200 GS for a brand new silver RT. Wow the comfort!
However I experience a stiffness around the shoulder blades ( typical sign I need to adjust the handle bars) Are there any risers bar backs that can accommodate the navigator ii mount.
thanks

I put the Suburban Machinery risers on my 07 RT with NAV III. Easy, easy install. Shoulders much better. View from mirrors much better. AND they sell a model with the longer bolts needed for the NAV unit.
Man, I had a fire burning between my shoulder blades after a few hours of riding and I was really bummed because I love the bike. The risers helped a big bunch but the problem is not totally gone. Get them, they really are worth it.
Hope this helps.

I just installed the Moto Techniques risers on my RT. Seems like the Surb risers bring the bars up .8 inches and back a half or thereabouts and are around $90.00 or so. The MT risers are nicely done, bring the bars up an inch and back an inch and are only $59.00. No need for any modifications to the cables and was an easy install. Click here: Moto-Techniques, Inc. I too have the burn but I believe that it is partially caused by the angle of the handle bars. I am currently looking into a way to change this angle on a pair of risers.
Congrats on the new RT. I am on my third. I try others but keep coming back. Great ride, no rear end failures as yet. :rotf:
