If I remember correctly, the tank is "full" when filled up to the bottom opening under gas cap. If true, what is the fuel gauge supposed to show? How far up does the vertical line go to indicate a full tank? I'm trying to know if my gauge is calibrated correctly.
Thanks,

On my 2006 RT, I can easily pump another 1/2 to 3/4 gallon after the level reaches the bottom of the filler neck. This is after removing the rubber gasket thingy and filling to just about midway up the neck.
At this point, my gauge reads full. After riding 275 miles or so, the tank will then accept 5.75~6.0 gallons when the BC reads zero miles to empty.
Ofcourse, as they say, YMMV!

I leave the rubber thingy in there, but keep filling until the fuel starts to fill almost halfway up the rubber piece. I also fill it on the center stand. Once the fuel seems like it wants to splash out at me, I stop filling. I think i get it mostly full. I get a full set of bars and 300+ mile range displayed.
I'm getting 46-50mpg so I'm too concerned about getting that last 1/2 gallon in there.
