got a quote from my dealer for a 12k service.
with all the tupperware on ,£475 with a brake fluid change.
with the tupperware off £400 .
I enquired about the sevicing costs on a R1200 RT , and for a 12k service i was quoted £350 .
not really a lot of difference when you add things up and when you compare the bikes , the LT is far superior to the RT .
For those who are thinking about changing to an RT just consider it is,nt gonna be much cheaper to run than an LT in, fact it might cost you more in the long run.

Fortunately, it is easy to change the brake fluid in my 00. So, thank to Paul's video, and this site, I did my own 12K. It occurred to me that I could do it in stages, instead of all at once.

While I was at it, I pulled the speedo, and got my speedo to read close to actual speed.

Wow that's hard to believe, since it's allot easier to adjust valves on an RT then our LT. I think I'd check another dealer.
