They are both a BMW and HD dealership under one roof:

I have stopped in numerous times for parts, guidance, and possibly a BMW trade. I have never once left feeling that BMW is important to them nor do they focus on BMW.

The last time I was in the building, to purchase a battery, I had to wait 20 minutes while the sales guy figured out the battery I needed and the price. I was gouged on price and I argued (I had seen the battery cheaper, but wasn't sure the price). I finally left with a $160 battery in hand, 1 hour drive home, and a promise to everyone that I could call that I would never return to Mischler's......

...... I lied, I went back to Mischler's!! But this time it was to return the battery and show them what other dealers charge. It may have cost me more to drive back and forth, but I was upset.

Maybe some people love Mischler's, but I have always been disappointed when I was looking for a strong dealer close to home.

I used to partonrize Mischler's, but no more.

When you go in there, you enter a world of the orange-and-black bar-and shield. BMWs are huddled in a back corner.

But the reason I won't darken Mischler's door again has to do with the way I was treated by co-owner Deb Mischler. Two years ago, Deb sent an email message out of the blue to every BMW dealer in the United States(!) saying that I had represented myself falsely as a Mischler's employee. Nothing was further from the truth. When I called Deb on this, she (1) refused to apologize, and (2) refused to send a follow-up message to the dealers indicating that she was grossly mistaken and apologetic for her comments. When she got that impression originally, all she would have had to have done was to call me to learn the truth. Apparently, that was too much effort for her, but sending a slanderous email to all dealers was not.

I don't understand why Deb did what she did, nor why she refused to correct the situation when she learned she was wrong. But it has left a very bitter taste in my mouth.

During the past year or so, I have heard a number of stories from other Wisconsin BMW riders who will no longer patronize Mischler's. The problems related to me revolve around the service department. Personally, I did not have service problems at Mischler's. My problem is noted above.

Now I go to a fine, exclusive dealer, BMW Motorcycles of Milwaukee. It is twice as far for me, but I am treated well and truthfully there. Sometimes I might gesture appropriately at Mischer's on my way to Milwaukee, happy to know there is a good dealer within my riding range.

I will never go into that place again. I have been called a liar on what was wrong with the bike I was riding, and proved them wrong. I have been lied to repeatedly. I have paid for service that was never done. BMW NA paid for parts under warranty that were never installed.

It was so bad I was going to leave BMW forever, but Nicks BMW opened and I gave BMW one more try and Nick's fixed everything that Mischler's couldn't.
