Here's some pix of my new 376C. Ok, I was fixing to buy one when Sandar the mag mentioned that she had seriously out grown her greenhouse. Seeings how I already have a 276C and I hadn't talked to her about aforementioned purchase, well, thought I'd be good to my darlin' for once.

A bud had given me some windows he'd ripped out of a house and some sore bones later all that is needed is priming and paint.

I know it doesn't look like a greenhouse, but I couldn't get the frame to firm like I wanted. Also, her prefab 6x9 (this is 12x18) got to over 120 degrees, or better in the summer with all the clear panels, so I reckon some sheathing ain't gonna hurt not. Where the double doors are is where the west sun hits more intensely. Strangely enough, that's facing south.

I used some UV resistant panels made, strangely enough, in Israel for the roof.

She's a happy gal and we're calling it a garden house. She's gonna move all her gardening stuff and whatnots into it. Plus, some of her plants have smoothe gotten huge, so when next the freeze warning erupts, she'll be ready.

Whilst doing this that song, "I ain't as good as I once was..." kept popping thru the brain pan. What a wood butcher, sigh.

p.s.

I hate my table saw. See that steenkeen piece of railroad tie? That's to hold it down whilst ripping. Also, the fence sucks and you have to measure to be sure of square. A 10" Craftsman and it cuts good enough, but man, that tippy, no square POS can sure grate on the one nerve that still vibrates.

If I send you my wife's list of things, can you give me an estimate?

Seriously, you did good Grif - and it'll pay off in the long run man...

Gscooter - my mom had a green house in Denton. About the same size. It had a pneumatic-louver thermostatically controlled ventilator so the heat wouldn't build up and kill everything. Keep the air moving in the summer!

Funny every time I hear that song, next to me, you’re the first person that pops into my mind:)

Gee, that might be my next model....I like how it points true north within a plus or minus one inch to the east or west :)

Its probably cheeper than the new garmins too!

Hey, lookin' good. Been tryin' to time it when it'd be right for me to show up and help - looks like I gotta coupla more weekends to wait!!!

You gonna double up on the rain catcher system?? And, whatcha gonna use for paint color - Canyon Red, or Garmin gray??

BTW - maybe this week-end, if you guyz are in residence, we could meet up summairs and I've got a hand-me-down gift for Sandar (SweetPea handed it to me at the Hard 8, to hand it to Sandar!).

Where's the couch, TV, and beer cooler gonna go? Is the roof sturdy enough for the DirecTV Sat. dish (HD of course with multiple LNB's), and the new Sharp/Aquos 60" Plasma, will it fit. Dump the plants man . . . MOVE IN!

Sandy accuses of me of building stuff you can park a bus on. That moving in thang could be to true if I don't watch the p's & q's. I was gonna scab off some power from an outside plug, but have changed my mind and gonna run a dedicated 50 amp with a leetle box at the garden shack. Reckon that'll do that 60" plasma. Good thang is I already pee outside, so no mas training.
