I need a new front tire and wanted to try a Bridgestone Bt-021 instead of a bt-020. Its a new tire but it has the same 520pds rating as the 020. Has anyone tried this tire?

I have not tried it but was told at one shop that they cannot get the 020 any more and the 021 was the replacement. I found the 020 at another shop.

As I recall, the 021 is not rated for the LT.

If the 021 has the same 520# rating as the 020 why would it not work just as well?

I did post concerning my 021 bearly doing more than 2500 miles on it before becoming deformed.

Bridgestone told me its because it was under inflated and should have no less than 40 lbs. After the trip I check it and the pressure was down to 36 or 37 lbs.

The tire was real responsive in the corners and I had a 020 on the back. I only wish they would last longer and if you read there web site info it suggests that the 021 will last longer than the 020. I wasnt impressed since I usually get between 5k and 6k on my 020's

One more thing the manufacturer said was that you should get the same mileage on both the front and back tires. Now I usually get twice the miles on the back as I do the front but maybe thats because I can drive it hard, I dont know!!

I have attached on picture of the deformed tire.
