Where are you getting your ballast and ignitor? Just get the whole set up from someone like www.cqlight.ca just need to tell them your bulb type and they will send you what you need

Ballasts and bulbs can be bought in a 35 watt or 50 watt cofiguration. I already have a 50 watt ballast so I would just need to get a 50 watt bulb. Just did`nt know what others were using.

Just did`nt know what others were using.I have never seen a "true" HID lamp being rated as 35 OR 50 watts. Different HID ballasts/kits have different specs, yes, but not the lamps. I have seen HID kits that consume 35 and 50 watts. The kit on my GT is rated at 35 watts, as was the kit on my LT.

My main point is, I do not believe that a 50-watt HID kit will put out more light than a 35-watt kit. So buy a 35-watt system and save your alternator 15 watts of needless power consumption.
