Hi
I removed the side panels last weekend and stripped off a few other pieces of tupperware. On replacement I ended up with 2 smallish rubber pieces that have a slight curvature and ribbing. Look like they are meant to fit between panels. They are about 3 inches long and vaguely triangular in profile. The BMW manual does not seem to identify them in the exploded views.
Mystified

Now maybe with that much much weight off the bike will go faster.

I have no idea. have never removed mined yet. Once the warranty if out I will start doing my own maintenance and will have a collection also.

Most likely at the front of the bike between the upper and lower side panels.
Directly in front of the silver tip over wing cover. Which is behind the black bumper.
There's a place where the two panels meet and the lower overlaps the upper..
Most use a piece of weatherstrip in place of what you have there..
She'll buzz pretty loud without them.
That's my best guess..
Good Luck

The only thing I can think of is the pieces that go between the upper and lower body panels at the front of the bike.
