Hi everyone!
I need some assistance please.
I just got on my 2000 and turned on the radio and promptly had this display flash at me…
“SEEKING TP”
And that is exactly what happened….my radio took a dump. Naturally, right when I was pulling out for on a two week trip.

So with the radio flashing, "SEEKING TP" my controls on the handle bar not controlling anything, unable to switch to the CD’s or any other radio mode, I went silent.

Has anyone ever had their radio flash that message?
What was the problem?
and more importantly
What is the cure?
I even disconnected the battery and reconnected it again hoping it would clear up the problem. No luck!

Does any one have an idea of what happened and how to fix it?

Thanks
Walt

If you were in the UK, it's easy - TP=Traffic Program. If there is no local station with TP, the system will scan endlessly, trying to find one. If you hit the TP button again, this will be disabled, and the radio will work fine.

Walt, I have not had this problem, but reading the Radio Owners Manual that should have come with the bike, Woolly is correct. The radio is trying to seek out a traffic program. The mute button controlls the on/off for the traffic program. Hold the TP/Mute button for longer than 2 seconds to switch off the Traffic Program function. This should solve you problem.

Hi, Walt - just in case you didn't receive a radio manual with your bike, here 'tis.
