After several weeks of being naked, Hilda is back on the road! BMW re-designed the headlight igniter and the BMWOR team replaced it.
I'll let you know if this is THE fix for the fuse blowing problem.
I also want to thank those who shared the other electrical short and fuel leakage issues on this site, because I had these issues changed/corrected too - kinda like the extended warranty -just piece of mind...
Note to all: we did find wire chaffing (less than 10K on the bike) in undesireable locations in the (new) relay box. It's worth the time to look, and wrap the areas found in new tape...
