Maybe a few of us old timer would be interested in this antique motocross in Chehalis this Sunday. Last year there were over 500 bikes in the event - the newest was made in 1974. Great course and plenty of old bikes and older bikers. The course has been set up by Dick Mann in the past and is "old style". More information can be found

Sounds like a good time, but we just spent that last two nights watching the TT and Short Track Nationals at Castle Rock. I saw an LT was following us out on Friday night. Was that you Steve? BTW, the races were a lot of fun.

Ernie,
Nope - not us! Did not know about the short rack till Sunday when someone mentioned it at the MX. Great day of racing! Farm was nicely packed - lots of bikes and fans! Dick Mann did design the track once again. Some very unusual bikes there as usual - ever hear of a "Cotton"? Spent the day listening to a couple of old friends of mine - both ex racers - talk about the old bikes and there setup - a great day!
Ernie - they even had an old National flat tracker on sale there in the vendor area.

Did he come with a bike? What was he worth?;) Pauline would say, "not much" unless he was about 25. :) That would be old for a flat tracker.
Sorry for not posting the race. I guess they had one last year too and I either forgot or just didn't make it for one reason or another. Perhaps we were out getting GT checkpoints. Who knows. The TT race was on Friday night this year. I wrangled a day off so I could spend it with my father and go to the race. The ST was on Saturday night. Both were equally good. The programs were run tight and there were very little "get-offs" and some very close racing. Good stuff for sure. We are thinking of making Springfield IL after CCR and see their ST and Mile races. The new BMW 800 Flat Track bike (http://www.bmwmotorcycles.com/etc/utils.jsp?t=news&newscat=general) will be featured on the Mile. I just gotta see that!:D
