Left the house this afternoon in ole Blue Truck and from a distance of about 4 blocks, saw a m/c rider in hi-viz yellow turn into the high school parking lot. I couldn't make a left turn to catch up, so headed on into town. Shortly, I caught him in my rear view and noticed he pulled into the Post Office lot. Did a quick U-eee and pulled in beside him. Lo and behold, it wuz North Carolina Jack - been working at Camp Stanley for the past two weeks, and getting ready to leave for points north. Shipping un-needed clothing home to NC; he had/has plans to join us at *$$ tamale before taking off for MN. I made sure he would be in Leon Springs.
North Carolina Jack stays in Boerne for just about two weeks at a stretch, while he does some consulting work on base at Camp Stanley a few times a year. Seems he's always on a different bike! :thumb: I think he has an ST1300, plus some kind of dirt/sport bike. He'd just been riding in Colorado for several weeks before coming to Boerne.
Wuz good to see him and glad I had the opportunity to confirm *$$ for tamale. I gotta remember to tell him about George Young's accident, cuz I don't think he knows. Somebody please remind me in the morning - thanks.
