i was highly upset with the intaride dealer in the u.s. going out of buisness...so i started to look at other options autocom seemed to fit the bill.but after confighring a system it cam to $450 ,i couldnt see spending that much for something i wasnt really going to use all that often...so after stumbling across a post about ordering right from the manufacture,i just ordered a system, for half of what the autocom would have been...im still not all that crazy about ordering stuff from overseas but i guess we will see what happens

1st : You will use it much more than you believed ---If---you start using in-ear speakers --custom molded or not.
2nd: The IntaRide has been great. Functions well, durable so far ( tank bag mounted--on,off,on, off etc, etc, )
3rd: Have had NO problems with vendors in the UK, Germany and Ireland--
some problems (acually not toooo bad) with Russia and France (I know , I was asking for it!!)
4th: John was a good dealer it is a shame to see him go, and not to have a US dist. (HINT ,HINT --are you vendors listening??
(BTW, an AutoCom @ 1/2 price is a good unit/buy, would have had 0 reservations buying that.)

Hi,
I also bought the Intaride and have installed the system on a K12LT 2003 modell. All works fine but have 1 question: I'd like to have the sound of the radio/cd also in the speakers of the helmet and have the ability to switch those on/off while riding. So sound out of the bike speakers and in the helmet / sound only out of the bike speakers. Or do you guys have done it different?
Thanks,
Knoet (Belgium)

You can splice into the rear speaker cables of the LT, under the rear seat, in front of the connector for the tour trunk. You will need to add RadioShack's Ground Loop Isolator cable (http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2062214&cp=&origkw=Ground+loop&kw=ground+loop&parentPage=search) or something similar to get rid of the alternator whine. Also, I added an inline volume control (http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2102975&cp) to that cable BEFORE the input of the IntaRide so that I could adjust the volume (or turn the volume OFF) to my headsets.
Below are the colors you need to splice into under the rear seat.
Connector under rear seat:
Yellow/Blue: Left +
Yellow: Left -
Blue/Red - Right +
Blue/Grey - Right

works great - also added a switch so I can turn of the music in the helmet.
Thanks again,

Hi,
Did the first big tour with the Intaride installed and have following issue: when driving over bumpy roads, I always have an intermittant crisping - as if you would disconnect/connect the leads :( . Has anybody got the same going on? Any advice?
Thanks,
Koen

I have an IntaRide on two bikes...and have not had this issue. Sounds to me like one of your cables are too tight, or defective. Are you riding 1-up, or 2-up?

Am riding 2-up. But have to admit that one cable is pretty strechted as I wired it up from under the seat all the way up to one of the side trunks.

You may be stressing the solder joints. Try riding just 1-up, and swap out the two different cables from helmet to the female plug. See if one of those are defective.

Found the issue: the fuseholder was giving me the hassle. Have now soldered the connection and all is working fine.
