Any of you local boyz got some extry SOLAS tape stuck around?? Be glad to trade ya about a foot's worth for some protective, clear, vinyl - already cut to shape for your radio display window. I'm thinkin' this Shoei Multitec needs sumpthin' retro-reflective shiny, in the right places. Not in big hurry, so maybe if you're gonna be at an RTE or a Tech Session, we could swap?
Last roll I bought, I got it at West Marine, butt I'm not driving on 410 in San Antonio for the next hunnert years!!! Thought maybe some extry might show up if I hollered loud!! TIA.

Hi, Deacon - goot morgan to ya! Lissen, I appreciate your offer, butt lemme see if someone just has some scraps left over. Friend of mine works in the same strip center as S.A.'s W.M and he'd pick me up some if I axed; I just don't need that much for a special trip over, ya know!!
Thanks again - truly.
Hey, btw - I forgot to mention that the strips of clear vinyl I have will only work on LTs of the older vintage that have the horizontal radio window. Newer ones don't have that window, right? Anyway, just to be clear!!! ;)

Grif's got a whole roll of the stuff. I brought that to him last time I was there, since I need it so seldomly and thought the group meets more often at his casa. Just talk to him.

Thanks, Andy - I'll look around his gearage for some scraps, or see if the fur balls are using it for bedding material!! ;)

Inches, I assume!! :histerica I usually cut my own design from a lengthy strip of 2"w tape. A 4" rectangle may work, butt lemme see what else turns up. Like Andy sez, Grif may have some leftover stuff at the gearage. Thanks again, Channing.
Hey, btw - you coming to the tech session Satiday?? Bringin' Thor with ya?? :histerica

Dick what I have isn't marked as SOLAS, but I have just about every color of reflective tape made. In the 'DOT C-2 grade' (used for commercial trucks, the best reflectivity) I have white, silver, amber, red, blue... In the regular 'engineering' grade (used for making signs, decals, etc.) I have every color from white to black & everything in between. These are in various widths & materials. Some rated as flexible (to follow the contour of your helmet) and some are not but if you cut it into thinner strips it usually works OK.
Lemme know if you're interested

Rick, I'd like to have a wee bit of the C-2 in blue if you have some scraps you want to get ride of. Let me know price and postage and I'll get it to you straight away.
TIA.

What is SOLAS tape? :confused:It's an acronym (Sea, I can't remember what the O stands for, Land, Air, Search). It lights up, brilliantly I might add, when light strikes it in the dark.
