The midwest board seems to be in a coma. Since the new format it seems realy quiet or is it me?

I am all for all weather riding but this 10 deg stuff is a bit much.

Only 4 or 5 months till riding season. :(

I can't even get excited about the Pack 2 wins UGH!

Why do I live here?

And still just 2 wins...after last night's game. What a bummer to see the end of Brett's career like this. Hopefully, the Pack will get their act together before he retires. He's one of my all-time favorite true football players. In a time now with a bunch of Prima Donnas, he's a REAL football player. Not many left.

I hear you, Mike....I think we're all bummed about the inevitable winter weather coming down on us. I did get out for a nice ride last Saturday. Sunshine and fifty degrees was a pleasure!!

Keep your battery tender on your LT, keep your Gerbings stuff handy, and get out on the road when things are dry. We'll be hitting the motorcycle show in Chicago in early February to keep our cycle appetites whetted!

Regards,

Paul

In Minneapolis I rode my LT to work for a couple hours Sunday and then to the girlfriends. Went to head home at about 9:30 and found the bike covered with frost - the radio crapped out - not sure if it's related to the frost. Rode it to work Mon it was in the low 30's - no problem. Didn't ride today because it sounded like rain in the evening. As long as it's not raining or there's ice or snow I figure I can ride. It's really about the same as riding a snowmobile with regards to the cold - the traction is a different matter.

I agree all is not doom and gloom. My inital post was a "troll". It seemed the board needed some life support. Since the new format it has been quiet or so it seems. Has our Midwest section lost members since the new format? or are people just busy doing other things. I know they are not out all riding!

I rode Monday to work and had to make a delivery and pick stuff up logged on about 80 or 90 smiles. But whoa on the way back a serious cold front came in the last 20 min of the ride. All devices went on full high heat.

The Tender is on the heated vest and thermal undergarments are at the ready!

The Pack and Farve sob sob sob. That darn Edinger ( a ex Chicago Bear) did the same thing a few weeks back in Minneapolis to the Pack. A field goal in the last seconds of the game. There is talk of the ex Cub factor on baseball teams. Like if you have 3 or more you will not win a world series. Looks like the Bears are doing the Packers in even after they leave the Bears. UGH!

Two REAL football games left this season. Dec 4th and December 25th Yes they are the Bear Packer games The hopes are not high but you just never know.

After that would not mind seeing the Colts win it New England has had enough bowl experince for a while. But with the way the NFL is it will be the Bears and some team out of left field for the Super bowl in January.

Hey Paul I will be going to the show in February. Perhaps a post to promote a gathering.

Man what meandering post.

Well after a long wait and absent from riding the latter part of 2005, I finally have a license plate for my K1100LT!

I was good and only rode it once during the 7 week wait and that was just about a 5 block radius and as predicted...it is snowing and 23 degrees!

Being from a southern climate recently, I will wait for the snow to at least stop and clear from the streets before I attempt a proper ride. :(

Hmmm, Don Norwood's ride for the children anyone?

With comments like that, we'll have to revoke your Year Round Rider status. ;) :p
