With replacement shocks costing big http://library.thinkquest.org/TQ0312172/1000dollarbill-3.jpg, I was wondering if it is possible to change out the springs. The shocks are still good, unless they are leaking, if they weren’t our LT’s would be bouncing like a herd of kangaroos, and from what I have read they aren’t. The shock doesn’t hold up the bike the spring does.
Pete Murray (murray) on the old forum discussed re-spring and re-valve but didn’t see a follow-up.

There's a rear shock assembly on E-Bay now if you need one ...
Bid ends in 5 hours.
And nope, don't know the seller......

Vincie, The amount of work required to recharge the shock is not worth it. If you go to a stiffer spring you have to re valve the shock, That's the easy part. Recharging the shock requires one to drill the shock body and install a shrader valve. Parts and labor were estimated to be around 300-400. There is a guy in Cal that works on the rear shock don't know his name. The front shock is a throwaway. You need to address the front and rear at the same time. Good luck I went with works front ohlins rear.
