I tried to check out the Clymers service manuals to find one for the R12RT.
Nothing listed, I only found one for the R12C.
Can someone point me in the right direction?
Also, can someone point me to a forum that is the best for the R1200RT for maintaince and farkels?
This site seems a little dead for the RT's, there must be another place to retrive the info that one needs.
Thanks

Clymer hasn't produced a manual for the 12RT yet. There is a Haynes one: ISBN 9781844255986

There are quite a few discussions on the RT in here, I suspect it's just that this is an LT forum after all! Try posting a few topics - I have and they get responses.

What's the torque for the drain bolt?
I changed the oil last night and could not find anywhere the torque setting.
The instructions that the BMW shop gave me only had the torque for the filter which was (8 ft lbs).

23 ft lbs is the figure for the 1100 on the drain plug. Can't imagine it being any different on the 1200? Although the figure I have for the oil filter is 11 ft lbs, not 8.....

I ordered one through my dealer in Pomona, CA. It took forever. It actually has several different models on it. I have it at my office (not that I look at it there or anything). I will check out the part number and repost.
