These are the photos I tried to upload last week. ( file size was too big, but not now). The partial ring is what failed. Notice one is missing. The mechanic thinks they did not seat properly when the engine case was closed at the factory, and the other one was 'eaten' by the engine. Oil was coming down the motor and caking on the bottom and rear end of the bike.

My bike is still in Charleston, SC at Champion Honda ( and we sell BMW)..and has been on vacation there since October 3rd. I have some photos of what my bike looked like last week that I'll post later.....it was a frame with two tires on it.

That's just nasty.. sorry you're having all this trouble... let us know how you do! Those seals are really hosed..makes you wonder what might be "lurking" in other motors...

So what has happened? Did you ever get your bike back?

Bummer that you're still wrestling with problems with the bike and the dealership. I'm not far from you, and I know we both have ties to Carolina BMW in Greensboro, so if there's any moral support I can provide, just drop me a line.
