Hi Folks,
The right side of our helmet speakers don't work, but all 4 of the bikes speakers do. What parts will I need to remove off of the bike and does anybody have an idea of where to get it repaired?
TIA.

Pete,
If the speakers are all working fine then the problem lies in the intercom. Do you know which system you have? BMW or aftermarket? Before you tear into the intercom itself, the most likely cause is the headset. Try checking the connectors and then try replacing the ear pieces with some nice head sets from Radio Shack or such.
If it is the right side of both helmets headsets then it is probably in the intercom unit. As far as I know for the BMW early system there is no repair shops. May try contacting J & M corp as they built most of the early systems and may offer a repair.

Did you try: plugging into the passengers audio plug and using a different bike to helmet cord? If that doesn’t work, (assuming you have a BMW intercom) it’s time to remove the Tupperware and clean/put dielectric grease on the connectors. If I remember correctly you only have to remove the left side to be able to get to the intercom cables. Hopefully that will take care of it and it’s not a more serious (expensive) problem.
