In some cases I notice that in replying to an individuals post, the reply is preceded by a "cropped" version of the original or the one being replied to.

How is that accomplished?

Jon - just click the 'Quote' button at the bottom of the post you want to quote. The entire post will be included in the Message box between the bracketed 'QUOTE' codes. Just delete any part of the quoted text you don't want to include.

Use the suggestion that David said but do make sure and use "Post Reply" not the "Quick Reply". You can hit the Quick Reply and check the box that says "Quote message in reply? " BUT it is easier to do the quote and edit for me in the Post Reply.

Hi Scott - if you click the 'Quote' button at the bottom of the actual post you want to quote, it'll all be done automatically by the site software. No need to worry about the "Post Reply" or "Quick Reply" buttons.

I just like the more "WYSIWYG" nature of the Post Reply when I am using quotes (it's a personal preference) ;)

David, how simple.
Thankyou
