Mmm, 5 days, eh? Nice.
The phase change stuff I've been looking at looks to be measured in hours, not days.

I have a full-blown phase change vest with four of the 4"x10" double-tube liquid-filled inserts. They "thaw" from frozen solid to liquid in about an hour in 100+ heat, re-charge back to "ice" in fifteen mins or so, I bought cheap cooler ice packs that I freeze overnight in the freezer, those stay frozen and cold for about four hours or so, it's like wearing a bag of ice--sometimes almost too cold. Picked mine up on EBay for under $100 bucks.
The one you guys posted looks interesting, not sure how much different it is than the sahara-type vests, I wonder how the "mock turtleneck" works once the evap effect slows down...i.e. after the absorbed water level has evaporated to the point that it's not really cooling, does the wrap effect around the major blood vessels of your neck INCREASE body temp?

here's an example, but you need the cooling packs...others don't show the packs specifically, but that's what they look like. The benefit to the phase change gel packs is that you could theoretically stop at a restaurant and ask a waitress if she could toss them in the freezer in the back as you eat, then they'd be solid by the time you finished and be ready for the ride.
ebay "phase change cooling vests"
hell this one is only 40 bucks without the special phase change packs (which are pricey), buy it and then ebay "ice packs" and get yourself 8 small ones, duct tape two together lengthwise like I did for each "pocket" and save yourself $50...
