This is more of a public service, than a "ride report". I have ridden a lot of the Buckeye State, and I have to say that I'm not too impressed. Mostly due to the surface conditions of the roads here. In fact, I can't think of one other State that has worse roads south or west of Ohio. Pennsylvania has some pretty bad surfaces as well, but some of their roads are excellent. Now, I suppose if you want to travel at the posted speed limit or slower, than the surface conditions don't really matter. But if you're coming to Ohio for some spirited riding, you might just want to skip it.
But if one must come to Ohio, there is one road that has yet to disappoint me . . . both regarding twisties and surface condition. That is Route 164 (see attachment). Twisties, sweepers, elevation changes, a few little towns, very little traffic, very few LEOs, and good scenery. I get there by taking 212 east off of 77, which takes you through the "Historic town of Zoar", and passed Atwood Lake, which are both nice little stops for photo opps.
