I've seen many comments over the years from people, even including some right here on BMWLT, who say that "cool vests don't work" in places where there is high humidity. It is safe to say that those folks are partially correct, but it is important to understand that EVAPORATIVE type cooling vests are the ones that meet that description.
We use Phase Change Technology, which does not depend on evaporation. These vests stay dry, use rechargeable cooling packs, and stay very cool for hours when you're in the blazing heat. Here's the story on phase change technology and how it works to help your body fight heat stress: http://www.coolvest.com/phaseChangeTech.htm
