Max Load and the LT

Hello All:
I noticed on the 07 LT specs. that the Max load is 1322Lbs. with the bike weighing in at 886lbs.
Anyone ever checked out the other big touring bikes GW or Harley and is there a signficant difference in Load capacity between makes? Thanks,

Gold wing is right around the 1300 lb mark -- i don't know about the Harley
