I used to have a pair of Held gloves made with Kangaroo leather, very supple, very comfortable, and very strong. I'd still be wearing them if they hadn't been stolen. :(
They even came with a little card explaining how kangaroos get into crops and ruin them, and are a general nuisance, and that their gloves were only made from the hides of "bad" kangaroos. So you got great gloves, and a clear conscience. :)

Looks interesting - but their racing gloves don't talk much about insulation. The only gloves that mention insulation are for skiing.
