Well, 2 items here. First embarrassing, the other maybe a tip?

Went to France for a day trip, returning on this morning's ferry. Manouvering into the parking bay via a steep right hand turn, I rode over a tiedown point in the floor. At the time I had just pulled in the clutch prior to stopping. This seemed just enough to destroy my chosen line and over I went. Couldn't have stalled it as the engine was still running when it was down. No damage except to my reputation as a skilled rider with 'er indoors. She wasn't hurt, just a little surprised to be getting off before she expected. Then she complained of "wobbly legs" for a few minutes.

The second point may be a tip on comfort. I'm not sure how much info to provide here as it may be objected to by some :-)

I have not been able to do more than about 30 minutes riding without great discomfort which I put down to the seat. I have tried all sorts of foams and stuff with no improvement.

EUREKA!

Saturday afternoon, 'er indoors told me to drop em and lie down. Now naturally, I thought she was overcome with passion, but it turned out that she had one of her potions she wanted to use on me. This potion turned out to be Veet or somesuch, (hair removal cream). She did get "Sensitive" though, bless her.

Well do you know, I rode all the way to Portsmouth 2 hours without any problem at all. It looks like the problem was hair being pulled while sitting down. This evening I seem to have reacted to the potion though, so had a different discomfort on the way home tonight!

Hopefully that might be a tip for other hairy primates like me :rotf:

Hey Sasquach, there are better forums for "Manscaping" :histerica
Glad you found a solution to your dilemma, but I can't unring that bell. :D
I guess this falls under the topic of a comfortable rider is a safe rider.

This forum has hit a new level! You guys crack (no pun intended) me up. Of all the great tips I've recieved at this site, this is one I will never use butt I'm glad it almost worked out for you. Perhaps a little after shave next time will do the trick.

Thanks Ajlelectronics, you made my day. Absolutely hilarious. (And now I'm tempted to try this if I can get the Mrs. to cooperate)

And Lonewuff, "where in the hell did you guys hide the TMI Button?". I'm still on the floor from that one.

Thanks guys, I needed that one after a day like today!
