The new Connie Buzz won't have anything to do with numb hands and fingers. It'll be about the wait time to get one.
Nice looking scooter.

MCN-UK did a review. I think they claimed it had 156HP. The article also said it was aimed at the K-GT, priced only 1000 pounds (sorry, don't know where UK $ is on the keyboard.) for the ABS version.
EDIT: Not a real clean image, but here's the MCN article in jpg format:

Have not been able to ascertain if Horsepower figures are crank or rear wheel. Here is the published spec:
PERFORMANCE
Maximum power: 155 HP@ 8800 RPM
Maximum torque: 100.3 LbFt @ 6,200 rpm

I suspect it's at the crank. I think that's what manufacturers report.
The next Sport Touring Shootout in the mags is going to be real interesting now.

hmmmmmm...
I owe $9,300 on my '04 with 14,000 miles which has about 88 rear wheel HP and a book value of $10,900 to $14,400
New Concours with ABS, twice the HP, $13K and change...
anyone know a sucker...um, I mean someone interested in a good, slightly used LT? lol

I rarely use cruise control when I'm leaned over enough to throw sparks from the center stand... :yeah:

If it wasn't for cruise control i would be always over the speed limit. Seems like here in Ohio there are cops all around. I think going 60 on that bike would be hard to do and keep it there.

July 18 issue has a good long write up about a two day ride on the new Kaw.
A bit critical of the suspension and lack of adjustability. "I thought , however, that the bike got easily knocked out of whack a bit after riding over even the smallest of bumps while cranked over in the turns." Might not be the bike for Northern Ohio (Joe are you listtening???)!! No top case, yet. But it is coming. $13,799 (w/ABS). One color, silver. Warranty now 36 month, unlimited miles (perfect for Joe).:histerica

Comparing what they are claiming for the new Connie14 to what they claim for the ZX14 and then looking at real world numbers for the ZX14 it is probably safe to guess that the new Connie will be pretty close to 700lbs gassed up and make about 135 rwhp . These numbers make its power to weight ration almost right on top of the FJR and KGT.
The initial ride reports (first rides , not actual tests) suggest it is smooth like the ZX 14 with alot of low end and mid range power. Price is very reasonable and it offers a decent amount of features .
Where the KGT truly stands head and shoulders above : its a BMW and there fore unique (some like this others dont)-you dont get the Hossack style front end on anything else and BMWs take their own path (engine configuration, controls etc.) . You are not going to pass nearly as many BMW's as other brands (especially HD's these days - and to think they USED to be the rebel or loner biker image , now everyone and literally their grandma is on one). FEATURES and options- you can get everything from ABS to heated seats and grips to electric screen to intercoms to the best cruise in the business (a feature I would find VERY difficult to live without now having had it on a touring bike)

As a COG member, I've been following the forum at concours.org. It's kinda funny watching the posts on trying to figure out how to put a cruise on this thing - the main reason I chose the GT over the C14.
Some are wanting bar risers, a taller windshield, and protection from the heat on their right shin.
