So after CCR, I'm planning on heading down to Midland, Texas. Anyone have any recommendations for "must see" POI's or roads, etc? I fear the flattest, most boring of trips getting down there. Starting to plan route soon.

Hopefully some of you native to the areas can help.

Thanks,

B

Route 66 is fun if you have never taken it before. You can drop off at any point and head south to Midland.

well , are you wanting to take a direct route? the nicest route would be to go south thru Arkansas yellville eureka springs, to mena then take the talamena drive highway 1 west , 88 out of mena arkansas , do not forget to go through the back roads of south west mo. branson. after you get through s.e. oklahoma really the only thing left to see is near lawton oklahoma mount scott. from there it is going to be hot . someone will probably have a good route for shorter distance, if you have the time the route i am suggesting is very nice and lots of twisties. good luck.

Thanks guys. Not sure if I'll need to slab it yet or be able to do a little curve cowboying (is that a word?). But it's good to have options...

See ya there!
