Hello to all fellow LT owners and members in southern Ontario area.

Just thought I would try to set up a group road trip for us members in the Southern Ontario Area? My wife and I just returned from a trip down to Virginia and North Carolina to the outer banks. We returned through the famous route 144 in Pennsylvania.

I was thinking about returning to Penn on the long weekend in August. Maybe heading down on Saturday August 4th and returning on Sunday August 5th. This will still give you the Monday to relax. There is a nice Hilton Garden Suites right next to a Hampton Inn located in State College, which will be the destination turn around. Stay there overnight and head back on Sunday morning around 9:00 am.

The trip from Toronto would be about 500 kilometers, and the plan is to meet somewhere in the niagara area arounf 10:00 am on saturday. Meet there, join up and head down thru some great scenic roads through southern new york state and central pennsylvania? Does that sound like a nice trip?

If you are interested, then start your plans and lets try to co-ordinate it all here.

I am interested, I just got back from PA. My brother lives about an hour SE of Pittsburgh. My PA travels are mostly 219 south from Buffalo, and the local roads in and around Somerset, PA.
Thanks Cliff

Sorry about this week end I got into a job cleaning and refinishing the floor at the church. It has turned out more than expected. The church was build in 1842 and has an old pine floor. They closed for a couple of weeks while we worked on it and we are running out of time, so have to use Sat. and Sunday to finish.
I have to check the dates in Sept. so that I don't have any conflicts.

Thanks Cliff

Garry - do you have more info on that Vermont Rally? I Googled it and found only reference to a one-day rally, and earlier than those dates. My SO wants to go, but I'm not sure about the details. Do you have any more details?
Thx

Excellent! Thanks Garry. Let me know your sched and we'll hook up. Either here, or south of the border (depending which way you're taking). For ref's sake, I'm East of Kingston, about 45 minutes North of Watertown NY. Either way works.

Talked to one of the guys there, he said should be no problem sending in the registration this week. SO will get US money order and send it in for me. We will be taking the northern route and expect to start out west of Toronto about 9:00 am on the friday. I think it's about 3-1/2 hours to Gananoque. Are you close to a border crossing? 1000 Island bridge looks like. Gananoque? Landsdowne?

That's the one (1000 Islands Bridge). I live north of Gananoque and the bridge. From the bridge, it's a half hour to Watertown and hwy 3 which meanders to mid-VT. We'll yak on the meet-up, cause anywhere is good.
