I have 2003 1200 GT and I have PIAA X 1100 installed by Marin BMW. When PIAA lights are on and when I turn on my cruise control, my PIAA lights turn themselves out. When I get off the cruise control for example apply brakes, my pIAA lights come on.
When I turn the PIAA lights then the " SET" lights for the cruise control on the Dash board comes on as well.
In other words The BMW has coupled my PIAA lights to my Cruise control switch.
I am not very happy with this solution. Is this correct way to do?
Is there better way to connect? is it posible to use another unused lights on the dash board for that?
Thank you in advance

Normally one would tap into a switched power source. The best setup is using an Autoswitch that taps into the turn signal cancel wire.

If they just tapped into your cruise control wire, then I can see where you are having problems.

I just thought of something. I believe they slaved it to your high beam. I also believe you have a short in the switch housing caused by water getting in there and corroding the contacts. This scenario is common if water gets in and causes issue with the cruise control switch as well as the high beam switch.

Did you ride in heavy rain or wash the bike lately?

Recommend using PIAA switch, always turning lights on after ignition on and off before ignition off... :)
