Today I said my farewells to Babe the Blue Ox, My K1200LTC.

While getting a new tire spooned on at the BMW shop Max made me a good offer on a new bike. Not only was it a good offer but he sweetened the deal. Rush, the rock group, was at their NY store and would sign my bike if I bought it right now. Not much guess work needed here... laid down the cash and hauled ass to NY... Well long story short there are two route 7's one in MA and one just over the boarder in NY. Any guess on which on I took??? YUP the wrong one and I was not able to get there in time. Major bummer!!!!

Either way I have a nice new bike in the garage and I put 450 mile on my first day with her.

So meet the Silver Fox

Very nice Jim! ....and that is yet another reason to avoid visits to the dealer! ;)

Good choice. Thats a great looking bike, especially in that color. If my wife didn't want to ride I would have bought one just like it instead of the LT.

Enjoy it and watch out for the highway man.....

The GT forum (http://www.bmwlt.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=43) here is pretty good. Also check out GT-specific sections on K-bikes.com (http://www.k-bikes.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=43) and I-BMW.com (http://www.i-bmw.com/forumdisplay.php?f=35).

Congrats on the new bike. Enjoy it.

I went into my local BMW dealer to get some spark plugs for my 1150 GSA and came away with another LT.

No regrets at all.

Still, if Rush were to sign my bike, hell, I'd have gotten a flight to NY. :D
