Hey All;

A short story about my interesting ride to work. We live in southern florida and I ride 60 each way everyday. In 36 yrs of riding I have never ridden in rain like this. We usually get torrential downpours for a minute or two, But. I had 1 hour of rain so hard I had to slow to 30-40. I usually can go 60-70 in regular rain. 1 1/2 to work. normally 1. Now the reviews.
The new avons,on my second set, are absolutley the BEST tire I ever had in the rain. There was never slip slide wiggle even in the floods I went thru, very carefully,but at 40 mph. The bridgestones are a little better in the dry, but not even close in the wet.
The Stich I wear,Darien, a little got thru the top collar in the front but besides that not a spot anywhere. 800$ very well spent.
Alpinestars gloves soaked and a little wet inside. But still love them.
Alpinestars waterproof boots,3 yrs old. one wet sock and one dry. Time for another set of alpinestars.
Just my story for my day. You guys in florida know what I mean.
WOW. I made it.

What are you riding? An LT?

Question on the Avons then. Are you using the new Storms, how appropriate, the ST 55 and 56's? If so, what's the mileage like?

Thanks

Thanks Zeke,

Good info - thinking about giving the Avons a try front and back.
