Gotta adjust the BC backlight

The darn manual.....

I tried to adjust the backlighting of my BC, and the directions instruct to:

"Press Button 1 (Trip Reset Button)
The level of dimming appears in display field 2 (bottom of BC)"

The problem is that pressing the Trip Reset button does not bring up the Dimmer adjustment does not come up. Only the opportunity to reset a trip meter.

Any ideas?

They have the wrong button listed Bibleman. It is the Clock Mode button that brings up the dimmer control.
