I was out yesterday, running errands.
Temp was over 100F, hit around 108F.
My gas tank still has Regular gas in it.
Now that its summer, I might consider running the next grade gas? :-))
Sure wish I had insulated top and side cases for my groceries.
Bob, 0h 0h LT
PS: cold front might plunge temps back to only 100F.

Yeah, but it's a dry heat! Doesn't that just change everything? Here in the armpit of the midwest, we are expecting temps to hit 100 again with 90% humidity. I dunno how to figure the heat index, but I'm telling you if FEEELS like 110! I feel for you brother, I really do. I know your winters are pretty harsh too... ;^}
Seriously, I keep a small softside cooler in two of my cases for when I make unscheduled stops for neccessities like a six pack or for groceries and such. Or, plan b is to ride faster. That should create the proper cooling effect.
Stay cool,

Is the engine knocking at all? If not you may be OK, but running at least mid grade at hi temps wouldn't be a bad idea. That's what I run year round on my LT and I don't have any problems, even in the heat.

Nope.
No knock.
Another 108F, runs great.
Yup. My 00 has the computer brain that does not cause hesitation during warm wx.
For some strange reason, I get tired very fast, and seem to need gallons of water. Plus, I have strange cravings for melons--the ones with a lot a fluid in them.
I need something like my Joe Rocket Sahara vest for my legs and arms.
And, some nice BIG melons!
Bob :-)
