I can begin to see some of you folks do not work and simply ride your bike for a living

Well, if you have time, please post pics of your LT, your accessories, maybe even the cost, new lights, back rest, tires etc...appreciate it :o

Do a search for any posts by username "pozo_izquierdo".

That is Ari, our resident Farkle Freak. He has some links in his signature to pics of mods he has made to his bike. Great stuff.

Hey Fernando, welcome to the site. Others will respond with recent pics, I'm sure, I don't have mine organized right now. But I'm going on a group ride this weekend, and I'll see if the others will let me take pics of the different bikes with their mods, and I should be able to get back to you on Monday. In the meantime, try clicking on the Search button at the top of the page and putting in "Pix" or "pics" or "pictures". I haven't tried it, but you may get interesting stuff.

And if there are any particular mods that you are interested in, let us know.

Here's a link to my website with some before/during/after pics of my LT's farkeling. All of that is stil on it, just a little more dirt and bug guts on stuff. :) The Garmin SPIII was replaced with a 2610 about a year or so ago. I have also added a V-Stream windshield.

OK, Fernando, if you haven't seen enough yet, this past weekend I had the priviledge of riding with 8 other riders, 7 of them on LTs. I asked their permission during one of the rest stops to post pics of some of their farkles. First, I should note that everyone agreed that HID lighting is almost a requirement, and most of the riders had installed auxilliary lighting as well. Herewith, an assortment of other farkles:

The Bikes, ranging from a 1999 to a 2007

Curtis' Chicane Tank Bag, very popular with this group

Fred's Mick-O-Pegs and gel/foam/sheepskin seat cover

Gerard's trick cream paint job on the lower fairings and PIAA lights tucked under the nose cone

Jerry's beefed up torque link and passenger floorboard risers

Jim's BMR shelf and Garmin GPS. Just below the Garmin is an AmpliRider (3 inputs, 1 output)

John's V-Stream windscreen and caliper mounted Motolights

J-Pegs (sorry, I forgot whose bike these were on)

There were other farkles, but I hope you're getting an idea of the many ways to add functional accessories to your bike. Good luck with your farkleizing.

Hey, Fernando - you wanna see just about every farkle known to man (not counting Ari's farkle museum), getcher self over to Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri during CCR. Brung a camera, or maybe two of 'em. They be loads and loads of farklized LTs at that leetle get-together. And we usually have a show-n-tell session out in the parking lot where everybody gathers in mass and eyeballs the farkles and chats about 'em and takes pics. Great time!!!

Great time!!!10-4 on Dick's advice, Fernando. I've got just under 300 (297, to be exact) photos of other people's LTs at CCR 2006; lots of photos of GPS, highway pegs, custom paint jobs, custom seats, windshields, trailers, etc. You name it. If I had a way to send them all to you I'd be happy to do it.

Well everybody sent you pix of pretty bikes. After 7 years and a few mishaps you don't worry so much about what it looks like. Plus if you get into LD rallying function wins over form.
Adds/Changes/Deletes I have made are:
Wiring jacks for various fuse and non-fuse taps
J&M integrator -- R&R and replaced with MIT100
CB Radio
Garmin 2610 Touratech
HID hi/lo
Aux lights
Fuel Cell (with backrest -- passenger backrest :-)
Autoswitch
LED voltmeter
headlight modulator
cigarette lighter
Valentine (remote mount)
CycleSolutions_Seat
shelf for antennaes (xm, gps, cb, and guess what)
Removed CD deck for bag space before last years ButtLite
XM Radio (after riding the Cape Fear 1000 I never turned on the stock radio, took it out to put all the electronics in the fitment box)
I'm sure there is more. I kept close track for a long time but then I didn't really like the reminders of what I was spending :-)
