Hi,

I purchased a low beam HID from fastek to replace my original light on the lt. I was reading in the instruction manual and it suggest replacing the fuse with a 20amp. I am curious to which fuse controls the headlight or lowbeam on the 99lt. The clymer manual does not specifically say there is a fuse just for the headlight. If someone could tell me which one to replace so that it meets with the instructions that accompanied the HID. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
John

Hi, John - nope, no fuse for the LT headlights. Only ones that are fused are the parking lights at the front and rear. The instructions are prolly meant to cover all installations, since some brands of scoots may have fused headlight systems.

John,

I don't believe there is a separate fuse for the headlight. When I installed mine I didn't do anything but plug it together, works fine:) . I know the CQ lite comes with a 7.5 amp in line fuse you can add one if you choose but I didn't bother.

The only other thing to watch is the hole size in headlight housing.... No Bigger than 7/8". Don't ask me how I know. Otherwise it is a straight foward install.

Hi,

Great, I appreciate all the answers. I will not worry about the fuse then.
