Since the weather seems to be nice (cool mornings but nice afternoons), how about a ride down to Shell Beach for lunch at McClintock's. I've had dinner there and their steaks provide a culinary O.

Let's plan it for a Saturday. May even spend the night and come back Sunday avoiding late night riding.

Any interest?

Just past the edge of town. Haven't you ever seen Dark City (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0118929/?fr=c2l0ZT1kZnx0dD0xfGZiPXV8cG49MHxrdz0xfHE9ZGFyayBjaXR5fGZ0PTF8bXg9MjB8bG09NTAwfGNvPTF8aHRtbD0xfG5tPTE_;fc=1;ft=21;fm=1)?

Where is Shell Beach?

In the real world its just north of Pismo Beach.........

Sounds like a good ride to me but have Gages B-Day this weekend. Should be free for any other weekend.

In my original post, I said: "a Saturday" it wasn't meant for this coming Saturday.

26th? Take CA25 as a diversion from 101?

CA25 is one of the best kept secrets unless you are looking at pashnit's site.

Hmm, take a ride and eat some meat - I could do that!

CA 25 is one of my favorite Central Cal roads, we could even stop and visit the Pinnacles along the way.

I'd love to go if you could switch it to "a Sunday":D

Yep, I've taken Highway 25 to a few HDDC dinners. :)

Shell Beach is just over 2 hours from me up the 101, but I'm sure I could find a few detours along the way. I'll keep an eye on whatever date you guys set, and see if I can drag a few more SoCal folks along.

I'll hook up with you guys too, if you don't mind a 'former' LT driver along! I recently traded across to an '06 RT.

Being long time visitors to the Pismo Area, the wife and I spend a lot of time staying at Pismo Coast Village on the beach and eating ourselves silly in the area. There are two McClintocks. The one north of Pismo Beach on the freeway and the other in downtown old San Luis Obispo. Both are great, but avoid the grilled onions. The wife had two eight legged extras on her plate and they would not even comp her meal after that.

We now settle for the downtown restaurant and Brad's downtown Pismo for clam chowder.

Have a great time
