Well I have been out of the loop for a few weeks due to an overload at work but I am certainly thinking that we are in need of a PIE run somewhere. If you plan it they will come! (ha ha) Surely an RTE is in order for the near future. Any suggestions? Mr. Pie Princess and I are out for June 22-24 - riding to Hot Springs and Mena for my belated birthday celebration. Hope everyone is doing well!

Ya know, there is the Munster Gearage tech session at Bo's house this weekend. You could bring us a few pies to chaw.

Do you really think any "pie" would make it to the gearage party???? :histerica

Hey Gina. I'm Joe, the site's Village Idiot. Boy, we do seem to share a love for pie. Never met one I didn't like at least a little. ;)
I thought of you yesterday as I found this little restaurant in the middle of nowhere, Ohio. The place was called "The Whoolly Bear Drive In". They had quite the pie selection. I haven't had a good piece of Strawberry Rhubarb for quite sometime, so that's what I ordered. I wasn't mad at nobody after that treat. :D
I enjoy hearing of your pie-eating tales. Keep em coming! :)

RHUBARB PIE!!! Lawdy, I'd park ole Toad and walk a mite for a Rhubarb Pie - lip smackin' good, they is.
Growin' up in the Show Me State, we had rhubarb pie, rhubarb sauce (great on a piece of breakfast toast) and rhubarb tarts aplenty. Dang near a kitchen staple. When I came to Tejas in the late 50s, lotta these folks never heard of rhubarb - rhubarb? whazzat? They thought it wuz some kinda newfangled fencing material!! It's takin' 'em a long time to adjust to rhubarb, butt now and then, you can find it on a progressive or eclectic cafe's dessert menu - yummers. Hard to find tho.

I with you Dick, I had rubbard everything as a kid and I sure miss Strawberry Rubbard (thanks a lot Joe!!! :( ) and Rubbard pies the most. There is a place in Arlington that served a fantastic hunk of S.R. pie, but that is about the only place down here I've found it. You match a hunk of warm S.R. pie with a scoop or four of Blue Bell and you've got yourself a treat. Damn...I'm hungry and nothings going to satisfy me now!

I must say it's strawberry season here in the east and you should'a had piece of the S. R. pie my wife made the other night!!! She makes the best pie!!! There is enough left for big slice after dinner tonight warmed up with a scoop of good vanilla ice cream next to it
If your pie eating adventures take you to the Philly area drop a line in advance and we'll (she will) get some pies in the oven. The cherry tree is just starting to show some color, a couple of weeks then it will fresh from the back yard cherry pie!!!!

mmmm....rhubarb pie....rhubarb cobbler. We had a huge patch of rhubarb in my yard when I was growing up. I'd eat it raw until it affected me. That is how much I love rhubarb! Now you are making me miss Iowa (trust me, that is hard to do!).

Sounds to me like messenger13 needs to send a Strawberry Rhubarb pie down to the next TX tech session. Too late for Munsy's this Saturday. But you boys will be meeting again soon enough. Feel free to send me a reminder. :)

From what I saw on this site a K1200LT can travel over 300MPH according to GPS. your GT should be a bit faster? How ever if you only went 80mph, it’s about a 5.5 hours from your new address of "Shaggin Falls" OH, just about the same distance from your old address. :D Not a bad ride, for good eats. I think we should put together a RTE that includes a loop around the Chesapeake Bay, make sure the crabs are still good and up through the Brandywine valley. Val (master pie creator, and wife extraordinaire) can build some of what ever is in season pie as one of the stops.... Could be the summer challenge to find the best pies in the east???

Well, crapola - I thought you had it locked. :( They're missin' out on hiring a good man, I know that. :thumb:
And hey, when you run outta thangs to do around your casa, you can come over and help me with my storage unit layout - I just moved from one to another and I can't seem to get a handle on what should go where, etc.
Course I know we'd have to clear that with Sammie first. She might kinda like that you're gonna be busy around your casa for a bit! A great handyman, and a live-in to boot!! ;)
Take care, Bud. No stress on the job thang - it'll be taken care of shortly.
