Looking for stainless steel screws without buying the whole set. Specifically looking for the three that hold the rotating wind deflector assbly on. Dealer only has black screws or order the whole set for the bike $$$$. Aftermarket ideas? Thanks

Most ACE hardware stores (as well as the big box stores) have a pretty good selection of metric fasteners. They just won't be torx tip but rather hex. I have not found a good source for onesies & twosies in torx.

Should be an M5 x 14

Forum member Raffy sells a small kit HERE (http://motogear4you.com/mcart/index.cgi?code=3&cat=11). Scroll down to last item on that page. Any help?

You can order singles from A&S. It must be a loss for them as they have to go through all the same stuff as when they have a $500 order, but I've gotten the torx screws there. One of the advantages is that you can look at the parts schematic for, in this case, the winglet, which will show the screws. Down below you will find a list of parts shown in the schematic; find the one with the same identifying number as the screws and you have the BMW part number to pop into your order. You don't have to measure the length or pitch of the screw to make sure you get the right one.

If the "black screws" that the dealer has are standard replacement for K1200lt Wind Deflector (BMW Part Numbers) they are stainless . . .
