Well , I guess I officially crazy now ...... my 04 GT is gone and I now have an '02 LTC in Champagne with just under 10K on her and a full coverage 2 year Pinnacle warranty.

She seems to be in good to very good condition with only a few little nicks and scratches typical of a lightly used 5 year old machine. This big girl has definitely laid down a time or two on her slightly scratched "bumpers" but nothing bad. Throttle cable being replaced. No signs of any leakage anywhere and tires are probably 50-65% or so. Sure hope the rear drive is a good one , warranty otherwise.....Everything seems to work well and she rides like a dream.

I am very impressed with how well she handles given her size and weight. Acceleration is better than I thought given my GT was 30 hp stronger AND almost 180 or so pounds lighter. Very comfy so far though some J peg XL's are going to be in order.

Question : I think I have the stock windscreen but it seems pretty tall for a stocker. I am 6'1" w/33" inseam and in the lower position I look over it by about 2+ inches which is usually about perfect. When I raise it completely I am looking through it which is a bit odd at first (this is the largest fairing on any bike I have owned).

After a good thorough detailing, mirror tethers come first, J peg XL next,

Anyway , looks like she will be a great ride for the next couple of years hopefully...... :bmw:

Good call on the Pinnacle warranty. I did the same when I bought my used '01 in March of '06 with 9,500 on her. Over 20,000 now, without a problem!

I did the warranty for peace of mind. Beemer parts are a tad expensive.

Congrats on the new ride - I would look to the North for a good long ride. Colorado has some really great roads - save the Southwest for cooler times

Welcome....and speaking of August, you might want to consider meeting a few folks from 'round here by attending www.curvecowboyreunion.com in Missouri.

Congrats! 2002 was a very good year :D

Colorado is pretty great this time of year. Just wear gear to ride in 3 seasons....in one day!

Shriker,
I just traded my GT for the LT as well, you wont regret it. Just got off mine; went to Southport late yesterday, from there to Wilmngton this morning and back to Sanford today. Not Even Tired. In fact when I got home I turned off on another Hwy, and went a little more. Ride safe, once again, GOOD MOVE!
