Whereas I don't advocate drinking and riding, the Dodging Duck Microbrewery is a great place to hang in Boerne at the end of your ride. Now they have free WiFi. Dick, when are we gonna meet there again?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

To all friends of The Dodging Duck:

1. We now have FREE WiFi at The Dodging Duck! We've brought in cable modem
broadband & hooked up the latest greatest router, for super fast service
with great coverage, even to the farthest corner of the deck. Bring your
laptop in and spend a warm fall afternoon surfing & slurping (sorry, I
couldn't resist...)!

2. Our Smoked Porter turned out great. The smoky taste comes from a
traditional British peat-smoked malt. The result is a special beer, smooth, dark & roasty!

3. The newest beer on tap at The Duck is our Golden Cream Ale: light
(relative to our other beers, not to industrial beer), with a gorgeous
golden glow. The creamy taste & mouthfeel, and wonderful head retention
comes from nitrogenating the beer, and from a small amount of wheat used in the mash. Come in and experience a pint!

4. Look for a great writeup about The Duck in the November issue of Southern Living (maybe the Texas edition only; I'm not sure)!

5. It must be fall! Pumpkin Cheesecake and Wild Mushroom Soup are back.
Because of popular demand, we've modified the soup recipe to leave some
bigger mushroom pieces than in past years. Come tell us what you think.

Cheers!!!!

Dick, when are we gonna meet there again?I'm up for some hanging time. They do have a nice little place to sit and dream. I'm interested in how their new stout warms the spirits.

Hey, if'n I can get a break this weekend, I'm there. Been nursemaiding Kathy for a week now. She was doing much better this morning, then I took her in for a post-surgery doctor visit - it was too much for her. They re-splinted her foor - it's bad swollen, lots of blisters from swelling inside the first cast they put on her. Poor baby... Anyway, her dad is coming down Friday-Saturday, so I may get a break. Still planning on doing Hard-8 Saturday.
