Can the low fuel warning light be reprogramed?? Mine came on at 260 miles --I rode approx 5 more miles to the gas station, as I was pulling in the bike stared to sputter ( like it was out of gas). Well I put in 6.0 gallons of gas-- the bike is an 07 and I belive it is supposed to have a 6.2 or 6.3 gallon tank.

Thanks for the info

Yes, your dealer can calibrate it.

Mine did the exact same thing. Do as Dave suggests.....they can calibrate it to come on earlier (mine does it w/75 miles left on the tank).

The low gas light has never activated on my 2003 LT. Once I got down to the ---- marks on the BC but the light never came on. the ---- marks came on after 10 miles to go before being out of gas. Mine must be broken.

Does the light come on when you twist the key? If not check the bulb.

Glad to know it can be calibrated. The other day it came on and I only got another 15 miles before I ran out of gas. I had expected more miles before being dry. Luckily, I was near a gas station.

I went to the station and got a standard gasoline container with a gallon of gas. However, the container was very old, used by many other motorist in the past, and it was quite dirty.

I now carry an empty (camping) fuel canister in case I (or someone else) need gas. The canister does not hold much, but it is a better system to get gas in a pinch.
