Finger Lakes of Bust!

Great riding around Cayuga Lake and wine country. Met up with CarSalesman and Surfran for a good ole' hardy round-the-lake. Mild temps, no sun in our eyes (mostly cloudy), blown around on the road (very windy) and great riding partners. What more can you ask for. Besides, it may be the last decent ride of the year. Most of all I enjoyed the motocross!!! Never thought a K1200LT could to that!! Don/Randy - Great ride guys, hope we can do it again.

Well I gotta say it was an adventure ;) Nothing like initiating the new guy with a quick off road experience to get things rolling.

It was a fine day for a ride. Thanks to Ksailor and Carsalesman for showing me places here in NY that I had never seen. Including that Seasonal Limited Use Highway (good thing it wasn't Dec 1st yet or they would have stopped maintaining it :eek: ).

After we got through the initiation phase the ride went real well. It was a nice pieceful ride around Cayuga only temporarily spoiled a few times by 4 wheelers.

This was my first "real" ride in 10 years. I recently bought the LT and have ridden back and forth to work the past few weeks but only 20-30 minutes at a time.

I must say that the bike was quite comfortable, but I will definately be looking for a backrest by next Summer.
